Luxembourg, 12 June 2026: The number of licensors participating in Sisvel POS, the cellular patent pool for payment terminals, has grown to 40, just eight days after the 30 mark was reached. The pool is now positioned as the premier licensing programme in this important vertical.

The latest round of new licensors includes Bosch, ETRI, IP Bridge, IP4M, KAIST, Sony, Sun Patent Trust, Technology in Ariscale, Telecom Italia, Telefónica and Verizon.

Sisvel POS was announced in early April with Huawei, LG Electronics and Nokia as founding licensors. A steady stream of cellular SEP holders has since joined, demonstrating the industry’s strong appetite for a streamlined and efficient licensing solution in this space.

The inclusion of so many top cellular innovators in the programme will allow it to offer very significant transactional efficiencies. As the pool formation process continues, the Sisvel team continues to speak with both patent owners and implementers, working towards validating balanced licence terms.
